There's a warmth to peach moonstone that isn't quite pink and isn't quite orange — it lives somewhere in between, the way good light does in the last hour before sunset. These beads have that quality. They hold light differently depending on the angle, and the tumbled cube shape means every face catches something.

Each bead is its own shade within the palette — some deeper and more saturated, some softer and almost translucent where the light moves through. THE STONE

Peach Moonstone potassium feldspar / orthoclase / adularescence

Moonstone is a variety of potassium feldspar — specifically orthoclase — and its most distinctive quality is adularescence: a soft, billowing glow that appears to move within the stone as light hits its internal layers. This optical phenomenon is caused by the scattering of light between thin alternating layers of feldspar and albite within the crystal structure, creating that signature inner shimmer that looks almost liquid. Peach moonstone gets its warm color from trace iron content within those layers. Moonstone has been revered across cultures for thousands of years. In ancient Rome, it was believed to be formed from solidified moonbeams and was associated with the goddess Diana. In India, moonstone has long been considered a sacred stone, traditionally given as a wedding gift and worn during full moons. It appears in Art Nouveau jewelry of the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a favorite of designers like René Lalique, who prized its ethereal quality. Most high-quality moonstone today comes from Sri Lanka, India, and Myanmar, with peach varieties particularly prized for their warm, feminine color combined with that characteristic inner glow.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Moonstone is a moderately soft stone — it sits at 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale — and should be handled with care. Avoid dropping on hard surfaces and store separately from harder stones or jewelry that could scratch it. Keep away from water; prolonged exposure can affect the surface and diminish the adularescent glow over time. Remove before swimming, showering, or soaking. Avoid harsh chemicals, perfumes, and lotions. Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth only. With careful handling, this bracelet will keep its glow.
